Resourcing Redesign (Early Access)

We are redesigning the Resourcing experience in Projectworks to make it simpler, faster, and more intuitive.

This is a closed beta feature. To request access to the feature during the closed beta period, please fill out this short form and we will be in touch.

Overview

The redesigned Resourcing experience retains the core capabilities you're familiar with while introducing a faster, more intuitive interface and a growing number of workflow improvements. In addition to usability enhancements, the redesigned experience includes new capabilities for Budget Level Resourcing and global resourcing, with more improvements planned throughout the Early Access program.

New In This Release

The latest Early Access release includes:

  •  ✅ Bulk Shift for projects and budgets, allowing you to move all resourcing for an entire project or individual budget forward or backward by a specified number of days, weeks, or months.

Why Join Early Access?

FAQs

Are there any known performance limitations?

When using the redesigned Resourcing by Project page, you may notice slower loading times if a large number of projects are displayed in the expanded state (where individual project details are visible).

We're actively working on performance improvements. In the meantime, you can improve the experience by:

  • Wait for the initial load to complete. Large expanded project lists may take around a minute to fully load.
  • Reduce the number of displayed results by applying filters such as:
    • Turning off Show Unresourced Projects
    • Turning off Show Unresourced People
    • Filtering to a specific Company
  • Click Collapse All in the upper-left corner of the Resourcing table to return to the project summary view, then expand only the projects you're actively working on.
  • Switch back to the legacy Resourcing by Project experience by adding ?beta=false to the page URL. Example: /Projects/Resourcing becomes /Projects/Resourcing?beta=false
  • Disable the Resourcing Redesign beta entirely by going to: Settings → Features → Resourcing Redesign

What are the known gaps?

We are actively working on the following improvements:

  • Restore budget-related (Budget Amount, Budget Burn, Remaining Budget, Projected Burn, and Projected Remaining) columns in Hide/Show/Group for budget-level resourced projects
  • Restore access to detailed comments and resourcing history
(including Weekly/Daily comments when viewing in Monthly/Weekly modes, and the Resourcing Log/Audit Trail)

  • Restore the ability to match timecode allocations with resourced hours from the row actions menu (pulling allocated hours into resourcing without double entry)

What’s coming next?

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing:

  • Drag-and-drop interactions

We will also extend the new experience to:

  • Resourcing by Person

  • My Resourcing
