What should I do on my first day as a Time & Expense user

This guide will provide an overview of what you can expect on your first day using Projectworks and some key things you will want to setup to ensure your transition into using Projectworks is as smooth as possible.

Logging into Projectworks:

Your Projectworks System Admin will create your login and send you a welcome email. The welcome email will look like the image below with your name and email address to name a few differences:

Navigation:

Once you've logged into your Projectworks, take a moment to familiarize yourself with your environment. Everything you see is governed by access levels so please contact your system admin if there is something you are unable to find. 

Section A: This is your directory to different features and areas of Projectworks that you have been given access to. 

Section B: This is where you can do quick actions. This includes: 

  • New: Where you can create expense and leave requests 
  • Search: Allows you to search for projects, expenses and leave (if you have access) 
  • Clock: This is how you can quickly access your timesheet for the week 
  • Bell: This is how you can view or refine your notifications 
  • Initials: You can change your password, setup MFA, and access our Help Centre

Setup personal notifications:

You will have the option to setup a number of notifications however depending on your access level you will receive notifications that you are enabled to. If you believe you need access to further notifications then please contact your system admin.

You can enter leave directly in Projectworks to ensure your resourcing and availability is up to date for your project managers. 

By following this guide, you will be able to effectively manage your time off, whether it's for vacation, personal matters, or sick leave. The instructions also include tips on how to check the status of your leave requests and what to do if you encounter any issues.

Managing Your Project Assignments and Resource Allocation:

You can see your own resourcing for the current week on your dashboard, and see a longer forward view by clicking the Resourcing menu. Refer to the guide below to understand how to efficiently track and oversee your resource assignments.
